Yep, I'm with you all the way: waaaay too old! There are loads of cute younger guys out there. Ryan Reynolds maybe? Ben Affleck? Leonardo di Caprio? Hmm, maybe they're all too young. Still, loads of guys who could have done it.
Tom Hanks was a bad, bad move. Oh, just thought of my perfect Robert Langdon: Damien Lewis, the guy from Band of brothers and The Forsythe saga! Very cute and serious somehow.

I like Tom Hanks, (have watched his career for 25 and more yrs)...but as Robert Langdon...not at all. I have read every one of Dan Browns' books and have enjoyed every single one of them. But Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon is just NOT "Kosher"!!! He is way too old for the part. At the very least... 15 yrs too old! Tom Hanks takes away alot of the illusion and is a distraction to me in this role.

Well I appreciate that everyone has their own opinions so its great to hear the views of someone on the OTHER side of the table lol. Angels and Demons is my fave book of all time with Jeffery Deaver's 'The Vanished Man' in Second and John Grisham's 'The Client' in third. I haven't read all of the Lost Symbal so far and though I'm not finished yet, Im not overly impressed. Dont get me wrong, Im loving but in comparison to Angels and Demons its a bit of a let down. And I didnt like Digital Fortress at all!!
